No, this post is not about that seventies phenomenon, Pet Rocks, it is about my favorite pet store, Just Pets in Reston, VA. Which does not sell Pet Rocks, by the way. However, the Pet Rock concept was cooked up in.... wait for it.... Los Gatos, California. So, there is a tie in to this post afterall.Being paranoid about the well-being of our pets in Uruguay, we have stocked up on Newman's Own canned food and Wellness dry food to make sure our furry four legged kids will continue to get the healthful and nutritious food they eat here in the US.

I can't tell you the trouble you would have had getting your container in if they'd found the pet food...! We brought our two cats to Uruguay and brought one 20 lb. bag of food for them so I could slowly change their food.... customs at the airport confiscated it. We were told by the moving company that took care of our container to NOT put any food items in it or any over-the-counter meds such as aspirin because if they found them, our container would be detained and all hell would break loose!... Glad all went well in the end!
